Quality Managed System – Direction Fire Limited has gained accreditation to ISO 9001:2015. ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for the quality management of businesses. ISO9001 –

  • prescribes systematic control of activities to ensure that the needs and expectations of customers are met
  • is designed and intended to apply to the products or services we provide.

LPS1014 – Direction Fire Limited is accredited to the LPS1014 Scheme. LPS 1014 is based on the principle of ‘single point responsibility’. Direction Fire have the ‘capability to undertake system design, installation, commissioning and servicing. The installation may be undertaken by the electrical contractor, responsibility for these services is retained by the certificated firm’. LPS 1014.

Kitemark – Direction Fire Limited has been awarded a prestigious Kitemark license for Fire Alarm Systems.  Because Kitemark schemes are voluntary it shows that we are committed to providing our customers with the very best quality and service. BSI and the Kitemark are well established in the industry for testing and certification of a wide range of products and services.

Health and Safety –  At Direction Fire Limited we are serious about our responsibilities.  The works we undertake  are carried out in accordance with all current Health and Safety Standards and we have achieved SafeContractor accreditation.

FIA – Direction Fire Limited are members of the Fire Industry Association. The Fire Industry Association (FIA) is The Trade Association of manufacturers, designers, installers and maintainers of fire protection systems who operate in the UK. The FIA represents the fire protection systems industry promoting best practice in all aspects of business.

The FIA was formed in early 2007 by the merger of the two leading associations within the fire protection industry – FETA (Fire Extinguishing Trades Association established in 1916), the trade association of companies responsible for the manufacture and maintenance of portable fire-fighting equipment and BFPSA (British Fire Protection Systems Association established in 1966), the co-ordinating body for the UK fire systems industry.

BAFE SP203 – Direction Fire Limited has gained accreditation to the BAFE SP203 Scheme Parts 1 and 3. Established in 1984, BAFE is a non-profit making organisation dedicated to improving standards in fire protection. It is supported, amongst others, by government, trading standards and the Health and Safety Executive. BAFE adopts third party Certification schemes developed by independent certifications bodies and where there are not relevant schemes in place, develops its own.
